invisible threads | northern virginia family photographer

Invisible threads are the strongest ties.
-Friedrich Nietzche

Tuesday evening I met a wonderful family, who withstood this heat, for a photo session.  The reason being that their oldest will be leaving very soon for two years to serve missions.  Even the pup seemed to understand the importance of capturing a family photo - staying put.  I believe I may have actually offended him when I attempted to call him out of the photo.  :-)

They are a great family, with such varied and cool personalities.  Loved listening to their banter and their teasing of one another.

One of the greatest perks of my job is getting to meet  fabulous people and learning about their families.   This dad has a brother-in-law who is an extraordinary artist creating brilliant pieces with existing photographs...read more about that at the end of this post.

Here are the peeks...

Pretty nice looking bunch, huh?  I'll have the gallery up soon.

P.S.  Please check out Modern Bird Studios.  Modern Bird Studios creates personalized, modern art from your photographs. Each work is a one-of-a-kind, original studio piece created with a combination of digital, hand, and painting processes. They take your photograph, and break it down into a two-color image, which results in abstract shapes that make up the form. They then choose two contrasting colors to create the painting. The result is a marriage between technology and traditional painting to create an urban-style art piece that enriches your home.
